It’s in the northern half of the graveyard on a grassy patch under some trees, away from the asphalted path. Spider-Bots are a collectible of tiny robotic spiders spread throughout New York City, which unlock after the “Science Buddy” Main Story Mission. They’re unique as the only collectibles in Spider-Man 2 that aren’t marked directly on the map. Instead, you need to locate all 42 of them by looking for the large, colorful spheres that pulse periodically. This guide applies to the original PS5 version of Spider-Man 2 as well as the 2025 PC version.
It’s a real triumph that it manages to cover such a wide spectrum of themes without suffering from tonal thwip-lash. A particularly memorable mission under the dancing lights of Coney Island’s amusement rides is a highlight that manages to impressively capture the story’s essence and bottle up its emotional tension before emphatically smashing it. It’s enough of a roller coaster to hold your interest, and the way the city physically changes and evolves to fit the ongoing narrative is impressive (from ‘post-Sandman attack’ to ‘overrun with big game hunters’ and beyond).

To unfog the map you must go everywhere yourself and it will reveal everything in a radius around you (there are no sync towers to unfog the map). Alternatively, when reaching District Level 2 (from finding Collectibles) it will automatically unfog the whole district and unlock fast travel. For players with high-performance PCs, High, Very High, and Ultimate Ray Tracing options are available to more finely tune their experience. With these settings, players can use higher-quality raytracing meshes and use the raytracing object range slider to make adjustments.
This Spider-Bot, JJJ, can be found close to the Northern border of Greenwich. On the map screen, locate the building that looks like a chevron arrow pointing South-West (called Glam). You’ll be looking for a building to the North-East of it on the corner of an intersection, close to where a wind tunnel snakes around to the North. The Spider-Bot will be crawling near the top of the South-Eastern wall. Collecting them all will unlock a cool and unique quest you don’t want to miss, which you can read about at the bottom of this page.

Upgraded Classic Suit
While the format might be different, this should still be the amazing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 experience we all know and love. However, there’s now a third strand shared by both characters, which is something entirely new to the series. With it you can build on the combat and traversal skills that you would want in either Spider-Man, creating a more rounded – and appropriately – symbiotic duo. For the first time in the series, you can now switch between both Spider-Men, using their individual skills to explore different parts of the story.

It’ll be on the side of a building right on the street that divides the Upper East Side from Central Park. Head for Avengers Tower (the tall skyscraper with the red A on it), then check the buildings just West of it. The Spider-Bot will be here on the North face of one of the brick buildings. Go to the South-East corner of that park with a concrete oval in the middle and head South down the street. On your left you’ll pass by a white building, which has brown sections around the windows that have rounded tops on some levels.
